About Matt Coletta
Matt Coletta is the Managing Partner / Co-Founder of M&A Business Advisors. Matt has over 25 years of experience representing Sellers and Buyers in the CONFIDENTIAL sale of privately-owned businesses in a wide range of industries. Matt is considered one of the most “Active Deal Makers” in California and is consistently in the top 10% industry wide.
Matt has been a licensed California Broker since 1989 and his credentials include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Finance and a Designation Degree in Real Estate Development from SDSU & UCLA. Additionally, Matt holds 3 prestigious designations – the CBB, CBI and M&AMI. There are only a handful of advisors in the industry that hold and maintain all 3 designations.
Matt is a Certified Business Broker (CBB) thru the California Association of Business Brokers (CABB) and has been elected to the CABB Board of Director from 2013 – 2022. Matt was previously the president of CABB and currently chairs two committees and is an instructor, teaching the California Association of Business Broker’s re-certification course for the Certified Business Broker (CBB) designation.
Matt is also a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) from the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA). The CBI is granted to a select group of individuals who are seasoned in the industry, have completed course work including financial analysis, pricing/valuation, legal and tax implications related to the sale or purchase of a business. In 2017, the IBBA awarded Matt Coletta the Lifetime CBI Designation. In addition, the IBBA awarded Matt Coletta the Chairman’s Circle Award for being a Top Producer and Influencer in the industry.
Additionally, Matt has earned the Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary (M&AMI) from M&A Source. The M&A Source is the world’s largest international organization of experienced, dedicated merger and acquisition intermediaries representing the lower to middle market.
